Be A Slacker!
For years now we’ve all enjoyed email, but it has certainly had its drawbacks. You know how it is, you send an email to one person or a bunch of people and then you wait… you wait for one response, or a whole bunch of responses, then you try and respond to all of the responses hopelessly trying to address everything that they responded with, and the cycle continues on and on and on until you don’t even know what you were talking about in the first place.
Thankfully those days are over, because Slack is here! Slack, our newest and most innovate group communication method.
It looks a lot like other chat apps we all know and have used but has a few different features that not only make it great for the workplace, but for personal use too. Couple some of these great tools with some entertaining /giphy’s and we’re all having a good day at work.
Just look at these channels that have already been set up, no humor has been spared. Best of all, because we’re a small organization, we can have fun with it!
On the serious side, Slack has some great features that some of us have only begun to explore. Not only can we send each other or groups messages, but you can drag, drop and share all your files, images, PDFs, you name it! You can star things for later reference and it’s all totally searchable.
I enjoy the instant notifications that I have a message (or my group has a message) and look forward to understanding and utilizing more of Slack’s features. Be brave! Be daring! Be A Slacker!
